PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vinyl chloride resin for paste processing having a good chemical embossing property, without deteriorating good coating properties and foamability of the vinyl chloride resin for paste processing, which contains a basic particle showing a particle size distribution with multiple frequency peaks. ;SOLUTION: A vinyl chloride resin for paste processing comprises 8 to 30 wt.% of a fine particle which shows an average particle size of from 0.05 to 0.2 μm when the average polymerization degree of the vinyl chloride resin is 1,500 or larger and the gel component insoluble to tetrahydrofuran accounts for 80 wt.% or more and from 70 to 92 wt.% of a particle which shows an average particle size of from 0.8 to 3 μm when the average polymerization degree of the vinyl chloride resin is 1,000 or smaller.
