METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CHANGING GROUND/BAND FOR ATM FIXED VIRTUAL PATH SERVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To flexibly change a ground (communicating party) and a band corresponding to the day of the week/time zone according to a schedule requested by a subscriber or a network manager by sending a switching instruction from an operation system to an ATM exchange. ;SOLUTION: A connection schedule managing part 5 of the operation system 1 reads current time from a time managing part 6 and collates the current time with connection schedule data 5a. When the current time is ground/band change time, an ATM exchange 7 to be a change object is extracted. A main control part 4 sends a disconnection request message for disconnecting a virtual path before a change and sands a connection request message for connecting the virtual path after the change. The ATM exchange 7 instructs the connection of virtual path in each azimuth requested from a virtual path connection processing part 9b of main control part 9 to a switch part 11 and the switch part 11 connects the virtual path.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
