PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To grasp the trend and role of the times, to increase interest, and to improve learning effect by incorporating amusements starting with a KARUTA (tranditional Japanese playing card) game using support labels while making it easy to remember important persons in accordance with a 7-letter and 5-letter tone of TANKA (Japanese poem of thirty-one syllables) together with relative items, and expressly discriminating between the fields of schoolchildren and junior high school students and making it easy to tackle it by making the colors of frames different. ;SOLUTION: This KARUTA consists of 100 take cards, 100 reading cards, and support cards and each take card has a lower phrase including a human name while each reading card has a full sentence written including a period and a human name and also has a human represented as a photograph or picture. The colors of the respective frames 9 are colored discriminatingly between schoolchildren and junior high school students. Then the period is written with the starting five characters of the upper phrase, the human name is written with the ending seven characters of the lower phrase; and relative items are put between them, so they can easily be rearranged and read in sequence to narrow down and specify historical persons.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
