PURPOSE: To provide an exchange system and an ancillary processing unit in which the communication between the ancillary processing unit and a control processing unit is attained without a support device. ;CONSTITUTION: An ancillary processing unit 100 integrated physically with an electric communication exchange system 10 having a plurality of port circuits 106 or the like connected mutually to a control processing unit 10 via a bus 105 and acting like a communication service function such as a voice mail system makes communication with the control processing unit 101 via an exclusive bus 105 directly connected thereto to emulate the port circuit 106 or the like in connection to the bus 105 and also to emulate a telephone set in communication state with the control processing means.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
