PURPOSE: To prevent the clogging of a geotextile by distributing chunks of a biocide-containing material on the geotextile. CONSTITUTION: The chunks contg. the biocide known as an antimicrobial agent in the form of a solid or semi-solid are sprayed on the surface of the geotextile. The chunks are in a regular or irregular form like pieces, grains, pellets and blocks. When a leachate is discharged from a landfill, the antimicrobial agent leaches from the solid chunks and exhibits an antimicrobial effect to the ambient surfaces.
