Leak location survey methods of leak survey equipment and fluid conduit of the fluid conduit

PURPOSE: To surely and easily locate leaks even with a small leakage by supplying air to a fluid conduit pipe, either solely or together with another fluid to be mixed therewith. ;CONSTITUTION: A device for probing leaks from a fluid conduit pipe comprises an inflow portion 20 having a flowmeter 22 and a valve 24 connected to each other via a check valve 23 and both connected to the supply side of an existing, parted fluid conduit pipe 1; an outflow portion 30 connected to the inflow portion 20 via a valve 32 and to the outflow side of the existing parted fluid conduit pipe 1; an air injecting portion 40 connected to a compressor 46 via a valve 42; a pressure gauge 60 disposed between the inflow portion 20 and the outflow portion 30; and an exhaust portion 50. Compressed air supplied from the air supply portion 40 is blown into the existing fluid conduit pipe 1 from the outflow portion 30, either solely or together with another fluid to be mixed therewith, so as to probe the locations of leaks by the sound of the mixed fluids flowing out therefrom.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
