OPERATION CONTROL METHOD FOR SLUDGE CENTRIFUGAL DEHYDRATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation control method for a sludge centrifugal dehydrator in which a proper running torque setting instruction and a chemical injection rate setting instruction can be outputted following a change in moisture content. SOLUTION: In a sludge centrifugal dehydrator in which a rotary cylinder is combined with a screw conveyor, when a supplied sludge is dehydrated and separated by the centrifugal force and compression force of the dehydrator, the difference in rotational speeds between the rotary cylinder and the screw conveyor is controlled to keep constant the torque of the conveyor. In that case, there are provided an adjusting function 21 which grasps a change in moisture content of a dehydrated sludge cake to issue a running torque setting instruction and a chemical injection rate setting instruction according to an increase and decrease in the moisture content and a data base 22 having, as control parameters, operation condition data of the sludge centrifugal dehydrator such as sludge feed rates, sludge concentrations, sludge temperatures, measured torque values, and chemical injection rates being a knowledge base to restore an optimum moisture content in conformity with a change in the moisture content of the dehydrated sludge cake and a running torque setting instruction and a chemical injection rate setting instruction corresponding to the sludge centrifugal dehydrator operating condition data.
