RESEARCH SYSTEM ON ECOLOGY OF WILD ANIMAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a research system on the ecology of wild animals for researching on the behavior of wild animals in a relatively simple structure which can be used in a field where no communication network exists and is capable of observing the behavior of wild animals even in a wide area and gathering information without the need for stationary researchers at a site. SOLUTION: A mobile station 3 comprises a receiving circuit to receive radio signals transmitted from a GPS(global positioning system) satellite 4, a position computing circuit to compute information on a present position, which is a point of reception, from the received radio signals, and a radio signal transmitting circuit to encode and transmit the present position information and discrimination information computed by the position computing circuit and is placed on a subject wide animal, etc. A base station 1 receives and stores radio information signals transmitted from the radio signal transmitting circuit of the mobile station 3 and researches on the behavior of the subject wild animal, etc., from the position information of the mobile station 3 obtained by analyzing the radio information signals.
