PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To insulate the heat between the inside of an underground structure and the cover thereof and prevent a person from falling into the inside of the structure, by constituting the device with the fall-preventive cover, detachably fixed to the fitting seat of the receive frame and an heat-insulating cover connected to the lower part of said cover. ;SOLUTION: The fitting seats 4 provided at every equal distance at the inner peripheral face of a receive frame 3 fixed to the upper side block 2 of an underground structure is provided with a horizontal bowed shelf projecting inward and projections 4b protruded upward from the bowed shelf. And a heat-insulation device 1 of the cover for the underground structure is constituted of a fall-preventive cove 5 and a foamed polyethylene heat-insulation cover 8 connected to the lower part thereof. The cover 5 made from rigid synthetic resin (polypropylene) is provided with a cover body 5a having a mesh-shaped form and a fixing plate tool 6 integrally erected from the outer peripheral edge of the cover body 5a. The notches 6a of the fixing tool 6 are fitted to the projections 4b of the fitting seats 4 formed in the receive frame 3 and the fall-preventive cove 5 is detachably fixed o the fitting seats 4 of the receive frame 3.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
