PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a viterbi-decoding device, to which a depuncture circuit always performs a synchronized input of a correct convolution signal, regardless of the degree of noise of a transmission line of the convolution code or the like. ;SOLUTION: A comparator 4 executes a relative comparison of the error number of slip conditions 1 to N, stored respectively in registers R1 to RN of a register group 2, detects a resistor Rk (k is equal to any number from 1 to N) which stores the minimum error number and outputs the minimum slip condition MINSLIP instructing k to a slip condition decision part 5. The slip condition decision part 5 decides the minimum slip condition MINSLIP as a defined slip condition DSLIP, when the minimum slip condition MINSLIP continuously instructs the same slip condition not less than M times.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
