Salt damage inhibitor for plant intermediate soil and method for preventing plant salt damage

PURPOSE:To prevent salt injury of plant efficiently for a long period of time and stably by using water-repellent particles as an agent for preventing salt injury of plant for intermediate soil. CONSTITUTION:Water-repellent particles or water-repellent sand subjected to water repellent treatment with a silicone compound is used in soil capable of culturing a plant or its lower layer as agent for preventing salt injury. The material of the water-repellent particles is used whether it is inorganic or organic. The average particle diameter of the water-repellent particles and sand is 0.1-5mm and thickness of the water-repellent layer is 0.5-500mm. The upper layer of the water-repellent layer is blended with one or more selected from peat-moss, a water absorbing polymer and water retaining polymer or provided with soil. Consequently, salt injury of plant can be efficiently prevented.
