Natural environment friendly river surface water intake method and automatic regeneration type intake strainer

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To take in surface water from a scoured part of a river without damaging the natural environment. SOLUTION: A water intake garden 7 equipped with a small-scale water intake frame 6 is constructed on a part of a revetment and a foot protection between the deepest scouring height of a scoured part formed in a curved recessed part of a river or the evaluated height 2 of the deepest scouring height and a planned river bed height 3, and an intake strainer 10 of the vertical cylinder type having on its outer periphery a fine-meshed screen cylinder for preventing fish and other aquatic animals from straying or being sucked into the intake strainer 10 is installed in the intake garden. Compressed air is fed into the intake strainer and backflow is generated by underwater aeration to prevent the fine-meshed screen cylinder from being clogged with flowing dust so as to regenerate the cylinder.
