PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container used for raising a cell-molded seedling and enabling to uniformly take out and transplant the seedling, and to provide a method for raising the cell-molded seedling. SOLUTION: This cell molded seedling-raising container comprises a skeleton- like container 1 comprising a biodegradable plastic and opened in the upper portion, the side surfaces and the bottom portion and a plastic cell tray 3 having a cell tray plug 2 into which the skeleton-like container 1 can detachably be fit. This method for raising the cell-molded seedling comprises fitting the skeleton-like container 1 into the cell tray plug 2, charging soil 4 into the container, sowing seeds 5 in the soil, germinating the seeds, growing the seedlings, taking out the grown seedlings 6 capable of being transplanted from the cell tray plug 2 together with the skeleton-like container 1, and subsequently transplanting the seedlings 6 together with the skeleton-like contain 1 into a nursery bed.
