PURPOSE:To improve forming ratio of a callus and embryo-like body and efficiently carry out shot-term breeding. CONSTITUTION:Anther culture of corn is carried out by increasing saccharide concentration in culture medium used for anther culture of corn to 16-20(W/V)%, subjecting picked-out anther to low-temperature treatment at 12-16 deg.C for 10-20 days or carrying out the culture at high temperature of 29-33 deg.C.
