METHOD FOR INHIBITING CARBON DEPOSITION ON OVEN TOP SPACE SECTION OF COKE OVEN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for facilitating the removal of carbon by improving the carbon removal characteristics from the viewpoint of properties of the carbon deposit on the oven top of a coke oven. ;SOLUTION: The amt. of carry-over to a coke oven gas produced during carbonization is reduced to 5 g/Nm³ or lower by adding a binder to a coal charge, charging the coal charge into a coke oven chamber, and conducting the carbonization. 1-5 wt.% at least one binder selected from among tar, soft pitch, and fuel oil is added to a coal charge. The coal charge to which the binder is added is charged in the range of from the upper end of the total coal charge to a level of 10-20%.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
