PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the characteristic of a distortion factor measuring apparatus through a computer, by supplying an output of an audio analyzer to the input side of the distortion factor measuring apparatus and supplying an output of an oscillator part of the distortion factor measuring apparatus to the input side of the audio analyzer. ;SOLUTION: An operation signal for a standard audio analyzer is sent to a distortion factor measuring apparatus from a computer. The computer is manipulated to make an oscillation of a meter of the distortion factor measuring apparatus agree with a standard value. When a measurement value of the distortion factor measuring apparatus is required, the apparatus is manually operated and the measured value is inputted to the computer. An output of an oscillator is supplied to the audio analyzer. A decode signal is sent from the computer to read the measured value. When a frequency is to be read by a counter, a standard counter is used. An accuracy condition is inputted to the computer beforehand. If the counter passes without an NG, the counter is judged to be good. This method enables correct and quick detection of a distortion factor measuring apparatus not conforming to standards and printing out of data.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
