PURPOSE: To produce a high strength non-heattreated steel excellent in ductility at high temp. by preparing a steel having a specific composition where respective contents of N and Al are specified. ;CONSTITUTION: A steel which has a composition containing, by weight, ≤0.60% C, ≤1.5% Si, ≤2.0% Mn, ≤0.035% P, ≤0.50% Cr, 0.15-0.40% V, 0.0050-0.0130% N, ≤0.020% Al, 0.008-0.020% Ti, and the balance essentially Fe with inevitable impurities and further containing, if necessary, one or more kinds among ≤0.20% S, ≤0.30% Pb, ≤0.30% Bi, and ≤0.01% Ca is prepared. By this method, the high strength non-heattreated steel remarkably increased in ductility at about 700-1000°C, free from the occurrence of cast billet crack even if produced by means of continuous casting, and excellent in ductility at high temp. can be obtained.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
