PURPOSE: To enhance the draining performance, durability, and weather resistance by accumulating a porous, well-draining asphalt layer on a road basement layer, applying a liquid mixture, whose main agent consists of methacrylate resin or the like, on the surface part of the asphalt layer, and hardening the mixture through polymerization. ;CONSTITUTION: A well draining asphalt layer 3 consisting of a porous, well draining asphalt mixture is accumulated on a road basement layer 1 or on a basement layer 2 consisting of asphalt concrete, which is accumulated on the road besement layer 1. Next, a liquid mixture, whose main agents consist of unhardened methacrylate resin and/or acrylate resin and a hardening agent, is applied on the surface part of the well draining asphalt layer 3, and the mixture is hardened through polymerization. In this case, the quantity of application of the liquid mixture should be such that good draining performance of the well draining asphalt layer 3 owning to is porosity is ensured. As for the liquid mixture, it may be mixed with a filler or reinforcing short fibers. As for the unhardened methacrylate resin, it is preferable that is component consists mainly a monomer or a prepolymer of methylmethacrylate and/or alkylmethacrylate.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
