Application the new zeolite from class of matsutsuaito, as the synthetic manner, and its catalytic converter

PURPOSE: To obtain a synthetic zeolite of a mazzite type which has excellent catalyst activity, adsorption characteristics, etc., and is adequate for a catalyst, etc., by adding a silicon source into an alkaline soln. contg. NaOH, KOH and an org. reactant, then adding an Al source thereto and heat treating the formed crystallization gel. ;CONSTITUTION: The alkaline soln. contg. the NaOH, the KOH and the org. reactant (e.g. tetramethylammonium hydroxide) is prepd. While this soln. is stirred, the silicon source is added to the soln. and is settled. While the soln. is stirred, the Al source is added to the soln. to form the crystallization gel. This gel is then heated up to a crystallization temp. and this temp. is maintained until a crystal phase is formed. As a result, the zeolite which has the compsn. of the formula [M is a action of alkali (alkaline earth) metal of n valence, proton; A is an org. reactant having a positive charge of m valence; x is 0.1 to 0.8; y is 3 to 20; z is 0, 1], has the X-ray diffraction patterns of Table and retains the crystallinity and adsorption capacity in the state added with the proton even after a prolonged hydrothermal treatment is obtd.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO
