PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable noise in the entire range of high/low frequency to be restricted or eliminated by means of a small-sized device by providing a passage sectioning wall for guiding a route from an air intake port to an exhaust port by means of a continuos spiral passage inside of a main body case having air intake/exhaust port. ;SOLUTION: An air intake silencer 1 provides, in its short cylindrical main case 2, a passage sectioning wall 3 and a filter parts 4. Also the main case 2 includes a half body 8 in which plural air intake ports 7 are formed while being shifted towards outer periphery of a surface serving as one end side of the short cylinder and a half body 11 in which an exhaust port 10 is formed within the pipe by means of an attaching pipe 9 projected at the central part of a surface serving as the other end side of the short cylinder. And the passage sectioning wall 3 is integrated with the attaching side half body 11, but this passage sectioning wall 5 is formed to hold a specific interval between mutually adjacent wall parts, while drawing a spiral shape and thereby a continuous spiral passage 15 is formed between respective wall parts and the central part of this spiral passage 15 is communicated with the exhaust port 10.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
