PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the injection cylinder for the light alloy injection molding machine by which maintenance and check work can be done without the need for drawing a screw from a cylinder, at the time of maintaining and checking a reverse flow preventing device mounted on the tip part of the screw. ;SOLUTION: The length of a cylinder 1 of an injection cylinder is set so that a reverse flow preventing device mounted on a screw 4 is exposed in a condition where the screw 4 is advanced, a tip cylinder is mounted on a tip part of the cylinder, and a cylinder head 2 having a nozzle 3 is mounted on a tip part of the cylinder. A reverse flow preventing device 6 can be maintained and checked without drawing the screw 4 from the cylinder 1 by detaching the tip cylinder.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
