PURPOSE: To provide a low-cost, highly reliable air conditioner by reducing the noise of and simplifying the structure of a centrifugal fan for use in a car air conditioner. ;CONSTITUTION: A lower housing 9 is formed partially by a resin housing 8 which holds a motor main body and a porous body 11 taking the form of a flat plate is disposed in a portion where the resin housing abuts on the upper casing 3 of a centrifugal fan, and the flat-plate-shaped porous body is combined with an air layer 10 formed between the flat-plate-shaped porous body and the resin housing whereby a simple structure equipped with a silencer function is provided. Therefore noise reduction is made possible over a broader frequency band than in conventional centrifugal fans and the invention is excellent concerning maintenance work such as replacement of its motor.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
