PURPOSE: To provide a wire rope containing a conjugate fiber core, enabling a socket-fixing work using molten metal and effective for suppressing the inner corrosion to ensure excellent durability. ;CONSTITUTION: A core rope 1a made of a natural fiber such as Manila hemp and sisal is integrated into a terminal of a wire rope 1 at a definite length L1. Another core rope lb made of a synthetic fiber such as polypropylene and polyester is integrated in the intermediate region L2 of the rope excluding the terminal regions. The core rope 1a made of a natural fiber is integrally connected to the core rope 1b made of a synthetic fiber by splicing 3 and sockets 2 are fixed to the terminals of the wire rope 1 using molten metal.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
