PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording method of data while displaying a sub video image in a proper timing in response to a kind of reproduced voice data. SOLUTION: In a system where main video data and audio data are reproduced when reproduction of a sub video image is not selected, before the main video image is transferred to a decoder, disk control information DSI including an effect processing command is transferred to a system CPU. After the main video data and audio data selected in relation to a main video image such as English voice data are started for reproduction, the sub video image such as English caption is reproduced by an effect processing command forcibly in a prescribed timing and the reproduction of the sub video image is inhibited by the effect processing command after the lapse of a prescribed period.
