PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bracket for a handrail to be mounted on the wall surface of a building and provide a mounting method using such bracket, with which location of the bracket on the handrail can be performed easily and the mounting works can be made accurately and quickly. ;SOLUTION: A bracket concerned 10 is to mount a handrail, etc., on the wall surface of a building and is composed of a pedestal 12 for fixation to the wall surface, a neck part 14 installed rigidly on the pedestal 12, and a receptacle 16 connected with the neck part 14 and receiving the handrail for installation, wherein the receptacle 16 is equipped with a projection or projections 24 to serve for marking. At mounting on the wall surface, there is no risk that the bottom surface of the bracket 10 makes poor tight attachment with the wall surface or levitating therefrom, and the mounting can be achieved in good workmanship.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
