PURPOSE: To enable a fuel injection pump to be replaced or reassembled easily and appropriately at the maintenance time of an engine by providing each corresponding part and a pin fitting base part to the fitting flange and rack pin of the fuel injection pump. ;CONSTITUTION: At the maintenance time of an engine performed by a user, a fuel injection pump 2 is removed from a pump storage case 1 first, and the pin fitting base part 41 of a control jig 11 is position-adjusted to set a rack pin corresponding part 8 into a specified position. The control jig 11 is then fitted to the pump storage case 1, and the rack pin corresponding part 8 is connected to a governor lever 12 while the projecting margin of a fuel limiting bolt 13 is corrected so as to come in contact with the governor lever 12. Afterwards, the control jig 11 is removed from the pump storage case 1, whereas the fuel injection pump 2 is fitted into the pump storage case 1. The engine can be thereby reused without dislocating the fuel limiting position 4 of a quantity adjusting rack 3 from the appropriate position.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
