PURPOSE:To surely position pins by positioning the plural pieces the pins around the center of a sleeve in the sleeve equidistantly from the position of this center. CONSTITUTION:The optical fiber connector consists of a plug 1 and an adapter 2. The plug 1 has a plug housing 3 and an optical fiber connector terminal 5 is housed via a retaining fitting 4 in the housing 3. The connector terminal 5 is formed by mounting an optical fiber connector terminal body 5b to a supporting member 5a having a collar part 5c in the outer peripheral part thereof and this terminal body 5b has the sleeve 6. Three pieces of the pins 7 are housed around the center 0 of the sleeve 6 in the sleeve 6 and a packing material 8 is packed between the sleeve 6 and the pins 7. An optical fiber 10 of an optical fiber cable 50 is inserted and fixed in the central hole formed of three pieces of the pins. The front and rear parts of the sleeve 6 are diametrally reduced and crushed together with the packing material 8 by rotary forging to fill the spacings formed of the sleeve 6 and the adjacent pins 7 with the packing material 8. The optical fiber 10 is thus positioned to the center 0.
