PURPOSE: To increase the discharging efficiency of water, by providing a ballast tank, drain materials, suction pipes, etc., in a ground solidification device and equipping the device made of a box body opened at the lower face on a vertical drain driven into the underground of the seabottom and by sucking the water in the underground by a vacuum pump on a boat. ;CONSTITUTION: Drain plates 15, ballast tanks 20, a suction pipe 14, an injection and suction pipe 21, etc., are loaded on a box body 10 provided with excavation blades 111 at the peripheral walls of the opened underface to constitute a ground solidification device 1. The ground solidification device 1 is settled to place on a number of vertical drains 31 driven in the underground 30 of the seabottom and suck the water of the underground through a suction pipe 14 by driving a vacuum pump 41 on a boat in order to improve the underground. After completion of the work, the water in the ballast tanks 20 is removed to float the box body and then it is transferred to the next place.
