PURPOSE: To obtain a novel non-contacting RF discriminating device which confirms and traces the presence and position of an article, etc. ;CONSTITUTION: An IC chip 160 is provided with a system which encodes data about an article being kept or transported or a man and transmits the data to a remote place in accordance with a signal from an operator and a thin film battery. The chip 160 is also provided with an RF reception circuit which transmits data to a memory circuit 178 through a control logic circuit 174 which classifies data upon receiving the data and an RF transmission circuit 164 connected to the memory circuit 17 for transmitting accumulated data to the operator at the remote place.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
