PURPOSE:To do changeover of the load on the low voltage side of a system where there is no switch on the low voltage side of a distribution transformer by connecting a changeover switch and a saturable reactor circuit in series, and throwing in the changeover switch, and then opening the primary cutout(PC) on one bank. CONSTITUTION:PC and transformers Tra, Trb are connected in both banks A and B, and a series circuit of a changeover switch S and a saturable reactor circuit L is connected, using a bypass cable K, on the low voltage side. To change the load LB on bank A over to bank A, the changeover switch S is made so as to connect the transformer Tra and Trb and the saturable reactor circuit L. The overload of the transformers Tra and Trb and the increase of loop current are checked by the saturable reactor circuit L. Next, PC on the bank B is opened. The load LB is supplied with power from the transformer Tra through the changeover switch S, the saturable reactor circuit L, and the load LB on the bank B can be change over to the bank A.
