PURPOSE: To provide a lubricating oil excellent in mold lubricity, supplying property to mold and oil-water separability, comprising each specific high- viscosity mineral oil and oily agent at respective specified proportions. ;CONSTITUTION: This lubricating oil for aluminum continuous casting mold is obtained by blending (A) 60-90wt.% of a high-viscosity mineral oil having a dynamic viscosity at 40°C of 300-2000cst with (B) 10-40wt.% of at least one kind of oily agent selected from among esters of polyols of respective formulas I, II and III, esters of polyacrylic acid of formula IV (20000-100000cst in the dynamic viscosity at 40°C) and esters of polymethacrylic acid of formula V (20000-100000cst in the dynamic viscosity at 40°C). It is preferable that an aluminum (alloy) continuous casting be made by continuously feeding this lubricating oil onto the inner wall surface of a continuous casting mold.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
