PURPOSE:To continuously prepare an oxide crystal, especially a crystal having the Y-based 123 structure and prepare an oxide crystal having the large Y-based 123 structure. CONSTITUTION:At least two or more are selected from Y oxides, Ba oxides, Cu oxides, YBa oxides, YCu oxides, BaCu oxides and YBaCu oxides and mixed so as to provide 1:(2.1-8.0):(3.2-17.0) ratio of Y:Ba:Cu in a crystal growing step for a Y-based 123 oxide superconductor. The crystal is then grown from the heated solid and liquid phases.
