The fabric (T) for the bag of the sock or stocking foot ismade first by needles (3) of first semi-arc (A) and then, in orderto shift the initial free edge (T1) of the bag, to the needles ofthe additional arc, and in this way to start the tooting of thehosiery fabric, a zone of concentric intake of air is formed bymeans of a neck (22) fitted around the interior of part of theneedle circle in order to engage the free edge of the bag.
