"The molecular components of chassis of vehicle hired using magnetic impulse welding techniques.Method and apparatus for connecting components of the chassis of the vehicle metal using magnetic pulse welding techniques is described.In a first mode, a lap joint is formed by connecting two sections of the side rail (12, 13) of open channel to form a part of a side rail of the vehicle.The first section (12) formed slightly smaller than the second section (13) is prepared telescopicamente inside with spacing.An electromagnetic coil (50) generates a magnetic field that drives the sections (12, 13) to move toward one another at a high rate of speed.The impact of the high speed and high pressures cause welding of the two sections (12, 13).
