The present invention relates to a casting nozzle (140,170) for flowing liquid metal therethrough comprising: an elongated bore having a central axis (CL) and at least one entry port (141) and at least one exit port (146,148,176,182), the bore including an enlarged portion to provide the bore with greater cross-sectional area near the central axis than near the edges of the bore, the enlarged portion including at least two bending facets (144a,144b,174), each of which extends from a point on a plane which is substantially parallel to and intersects the central axis, toward a lower edge of the bore. ??This casting nozzle is more effective to, utilize the available space within a bulged or crown shaped mold and promotes an improved flow pattern therein.
