The non-destructive testing method measures a value which is proportional to the elasticity modulus of the mast, at 2 or more points above the ground for detection of rotten wood. The measuring points are spaced apart by at least one meter, the measurement effected by impacting the mast with a bolt at a defined impact energy and evaluating the rebound, with comparison of the measured results from the different measuring points for indicating rotten wood when they differ by more than 30 %.
