Device and method for location of interference sources in electrical distribution networks

The method involves using a device (1) for measuring the voltage and current and the phase shift between the voltage and current for at least one frequency above the fundamental frequency of the distribution network. The direction of flow of the effective power of a noise signal for at least one point in the network is derived (6) from current and voltage measured at a noise frequency. An Independent claim is also included for a device for locating faults in electrical distribution networks.
