The invention refers to a mechanism for adjusting the distance between the cylinder rollers of cascade type grinders, used in the milling industry. According to the invention, the mechanism has eccentric circular housings [1, 2, 18 and 19] for the rollers [A and C] with adjustable positions. The circular housings [1, 2, 18 and 19] are each joined to a fork [E and F] made up of of two arms [10 and 11] whose ends [h and g] are joined by some screws [14] through a long channel [i] shaped as a concentric circle, to the axis of rotation of the eccentric housing [2]. The channel [i] allows adjustment of the gap at the ends [h and g] and, thus, allows the parallelism of the rollers to be adjusted. The adjustment of the position of the forks [E and F], within the limits of an angle alpha, for continuous adjustment, is achieved by a screw [5] with a rosette shaped head and a flange nut [6], whose plane section [c] slides along a linear channel [d] made in a support [7], fixed to the body of the roller. The screw [5] with a rosette shaped head slides simultaneously both along the linear channel [d] and another linear channel [e] of the fork [E], made in its handle [f]. The stroke of the fork [E] is limited by a screw [9] fixed in the linear channel [d]. To adjust the distance between the last two rollers [B and D], the movement of the eccentric circular housings [1, 2, 18 and 19] of the two rollers [B and D] is controlled by a lever [26] joined with some bolts [27 and 28] to the eccentric housings [18, 19, 22 and 23].
