The invention relates to a method for reducing friction between a hull and water, which consists in interposing, between the hull and the water, a film of air and air turbines created by an open cavity structure of the hull, the required air provided by a compressor. The hydrogels for applying the method are composed of laminated profiles (1) arranged transversely to the longitudinal direction of the stern, under a keg (2) of a ship (A). The laminates (1) have some wings (a and b) whose ends are sealed by a welding cord (c), forming swirling channels (j) of the air ejected through some holes (m) the inner channel (g) of the profile (1), connected to a buffer space (1) disposed between the hull and a keg (2), sealed at the port and starboard with welded struts (3) and keel (2).
