VAGINAL TAMPON FOR ARRESTING OF HAEMORRHAGE

The object of invention is a vaginal tampon for arresting of haemorrhage from vaginal wall and uterine cervix occurring due to organic processes or medical diagnostical or therapeutical treatment. The tampon enables an uniform tamponing of the whole vagina and uterine cervix by compression of capillaries of the bleeding part and thus the stopping of haemorrhage. The solution of the problem is achieved by the fact (fig. 1) that the tampon made of hydrophilic gauze (1) suits tightly to the vagina (3) walls after insertion, in the same time pressing on the uterine cervix (4) leaving the vaginal entry (5) free because only a linen string (2) sewn onto the tampon is passing it by which the survey of tampon position and its later removal is made possible. The vaginal tampon may be partially or completely coated with a hemostatic material which enhances blood coagulation and arrests haemorrhage.
