METHOD OF PREPARATION OF SIO2 - AEROGEL SCINTILLATOR DOPED BY DIPHENYLOXAZOLYLBENZENE

SiO2 - aerogel is subjected to 1,4-bis[5-phenyl-2- -oxazoly]benzene vapour saturation at 200 to 300 degrees Celsius, at decreased pressure, for 10 to 30 hours. Thus prepared scintillator is usable as a scintillator detector for monitoring low-energy micro-particles, as well as for monitoring micro-particles and heavy ions in such cases when it is necessary to obstacle a registered object with a minimum amount of detection substance.
