PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk recording and/or reproducing device which enables accurate positioning of a recording and/or reproducing means. ;SOLUTION: This device includes a lift mechanism for uplifting and lowering an optical disk reproducing means 140 to a predetermined position in a stacking direction, position regulation protrusions 165, 170, 192 provided to protrude on two perpendicularly adjacent lateral surfaces of the optical disk reproducing mechanism 140, and positioning mechanisms 261, 262 provide on two lateral surfaces of a chassis 60. The position regulating protrusions 165, 170, 192 move in one direction in holes and are abutted against the lateral edges thereof, when an optical disk 2 is set in a rotatable state by the optical disk reproducing mechanism 140 at a reproducing position. At the same time, the positioning regulating protrusions 165, 170, 192 are moved by the life mechanism and are abutted against recesses. Thus, the optical disk reproducing mechanism 140 is positioned in the longitudinal and lateral directions and in the direction of height.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
