INTEGRATED CONTROL SYSTEM FOR RADIO SERVICE AREAS OF BASE STATIONS IN MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

A mobile communication system which includesan exchange, a plurality of base stations, and aplurality of radio telephone sets communicatable withthe associated base stations. In order to suppress orreduce call loss caused by traffic congestion or byfaulty one of the base stations, an uncommunicatableservice area of the faulty base station is covered bythe other working base stations. The exchange detectsoperation states of all the base stations, searches abase-station state pattern table within the exchange forbase-station control data suitable for the operationstates to read out the base-station control pattern, andtransmits the read-out base-station control data to thebase stations to cause radio service areas of the basestations to be set to have desired radiation patternsaccording to the read-out base-station control data.
