Design, deployment and management of services in telecommunications network

The method for designing and/or providing and/or managing subscriber services in a telecommunications network, where services are stored in connection to at least one logical service device (8; 12; 208) connected to or integrated in at least one exchange (4; 12; 204), comprising using an existing and commonly available network as a service network (2; 202). The service network is connected to the telecommunications network via said at least one logical service device. Commonly available terminals are used as subscribers' terminals (10a, 10d; 206, 210) in the service network. A graphical user interface is connected from the service network to the subscriber. Services at the logical service device are managed through the graphical user interface in the service network, characterised by displaying the user profile information for the subscriber concerned on a television screen (210). A telephone (206) is used to transmit data from the subscriber to the logical service device.
