Chemical modification of pulp material for making paper

Galactosoxidase is used to treat the pulp material. A method for chemically modifying wood fibres and/or fine material derived from wood fibres comprises treating the material with galactosoxidase. An Independent claim is also included for a paper product containing wood fibre material chemically modified by this method.
