The supporting arrangement of hydrastatic bearings for machines for machining slabs of marble and the like comprises a supporting structure on three isostatic points, in which the three isostatic bearing points transfer the weight of the machine to the slab that is being machined bia ball joints (9, 10, 11) connected to respective hydrostatic bearing elements (17, 18, 19) of hyperstatic type, in such a way as to maintain the supporting capability even where there are appreciable discontinuities of the surface of the slabs being machined.
