The invention relates to a forest ladder, for use in rough woodlands, which can be assembled from square tubes which can be lined up in a row, it being possible for articulated steps 3 to be swung out of the square tubes, which forest ladder is characterized in that the square tubes, as inner tubes 1, are enclosed by round outer tubes 2, it being possible for the double tubes, comprising an inner tube 1 and an outer tube 2 in each case, to be connected via sockets 10 and screw threads 9 provided at the ends of the outer tubes 2, and in that the steps 3 can be swung out through openings 11 arranged in the outer tubes 2 by the inner tubes 1 being pushed upwards in the outer tubes 2, and can be drawn in by the inner tubes 1 being pushed back, it being possible for the inner tubes 1 to be secured in their pushed-up position by a lifting part which is arranged on an upright 8 screwed to the lowermost outer tube 2.
