Process for removing the organic matter present in ceramic clays and clay materials in general. Process for the total or partial removal of the organic matter content (a combination of substances of an organic nature or carbonaceous nature) present in clay materials by heat treatment at temperatures below the dehydroxylation temperatures of the phyllosilicates making up the clays. The said treatment is of special usefulness and application in the conditioning of certain raw materials used in the manufacture of ceramic products through rapid firing cycles, among other possible applications.
