They DEVELOP METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR USE IN IMPLANTABLE devices including an analog-digital converter (ADC) to convert ELECTROGRAMS (such as EKG SIGNS) DIGITAL IN CODES STORED IN MEMORY THAT CAN. The ADC constructed according to the present invention is capable of achieving significant energy savings by minimizing the number of clock cycles required to determine CODE DIGITAL RIGHT FOR A POINT OF PARTICULAR SHOWN IN SIGNAL electrogram, MAKING THEREFORE POSSIBLE TO DISCONNECT PART OR ALL ADC logic during periods of inactivity. ADC INCLUDES THE PREDICTION LOGIC THAT PROVIDES A STARTING POINT SEARCHES FOR FUTURE VALUE OF DIGITAL CORRECT CODE. PREDICTION LOGIC RECEIVES THE SECURITIES CODE OF RECENT CONVERSION USED TO PREDICT THE CURRENT VALUE DIGITAL CODE. PREDICTED THIS CODE DIGITAL BECOMES an analog value and compared with electrogram TENSION REAL TO DETERMINE IF THE FORECAST IS ABOVE OR BELOW THE REPRESENTATION OF THE CODE CORRECT. Subsequently, the ADC add (or subtract) a constant value (C) A (OR) code and compares the result PREDICTED WITH REAL TENSION electrogram. IF ADC DETERMINED THAT THE PREDICTED VALUE IS WITHIN THE CONSTANT VALUE (C) CODE DIGITAL CORRECT, THEN THE ADC ACCOUNT in the right direction (as determined by the first comparison) until the comparator changes the output state, indicating that HA FOUND THE CODE CORRECT. If the ADC determines that the value PREDICTED not within the constant (C) DIGITAL CODE CORRECT, then activated the logic of successive approximation and is used to find the code CORRECT.
