Procedure for detecting hepatitis C and human immunodeficiency and "anti-virus" antibodies and the surface antigen of the hepatitis B virus with a single test, whose development takes place through an "ELISA" assay in which each test is performed in a well in a microtitre plate on which are bonded in combination: (a) a synthetic peptide of the VHC structural region, whose sequence is NH2-Cys-Lys-Pro-Gln-Arg-Lys-Thr-Lys-Arg-Asn- Thr-Asn-Arg-Arg-Pro-Gln-Tyr-COOH, (b) recombinant env (gp 160) and gag (p 24) proteins of HIV-1 and env proteins (gp 105) of HIV-2 and (c) a monoclonal anti-Ags VHB mouse antibody, in such a manner that the reactivity of the serum indicates positive for one, two or all three of the viral agents tested, permitting all those units of blood or organs and human tissues to be considered transfusible or implantable. For those in which the test is negative, there is no need to carry out an individual test for each virus.
